About blue_line Architects
In 2010, Herman [Blue] Groenewald designed his very first home for him and his wife. The brief – design a home that would suit the unique taste of both Herman and his wife, Annemari. He also had to consider designing a home that would meet the unique needs of their extended family – their basset hounds. When Herman is not working on architectural designs and art, he has his hands full training, showing and breeding Basset Hounds and Italian Spinone.
For relaxation and "loose" creativity Herman started with art classes with Nanna Vorster Bakkes in 2007. Several of his creations are proudly displayed in homes of friends and family, many on commission basis, with one painting loved in Germany.
Our Founder & CEO
Herman graduated with a B.Arch (Stud) degree from University of Free State in 2005. In 2007 he registered with SACAP. He has completed several general and computer courses, like JBCC 2000, SANS 204 Energy Sufficiency and Archicad 8-22. He has worked for architectural companies in Bloemfontain, Paarl and Stellenbosch and has designed a variety of buildings, from police stations to hospitals. His biggest passion is creating homes, personalised for each owner.
